Garden Island installs speed bumps to stop hoons, hoons continue to use the boat ramp car park like a burnout pad. Came up on my Facebook tonight and most of the comments are along the lines of “give them somewhere to do it safely and it won’t happen” yet Malalla has a pad and it’s “too far away”

Had this same debate only a few months ago when a woman was knocked down by a car doing a skid on the streets and was told “we want a place that’s open 24/7 and is free to use” we all know that’s a stupid request that isn’t going to happen. There’s no way to satisfy the hoons because any burnout pad, even a free one, because it’ll be too far away from some of them so they’ll keep going to the street.
