Being someone who works in the city 5-6 days a week, on a 24/7 rotating roster, who catches the train & then walks to my work south of Victoria Square...it is noticeable how much quieter, calmer & cleaner the city is at the moment.
I'll give brickbats when they are deserved, but some credit has to be given for the western parklands initiative - the city's vibe has improved, & hopefully having a centralised spot for people to gather who would have previously congregated outside the train station, Bank St, Hindley St, King William St, North Tce & around Victoria Square drinking makes it safer & more comfortable for them, with easier access to services.
Credit where it is due.
