I am running Kodi through Windows PC that is connected through HDMI to a TV through ARC (also HDMI).
The soundbar supports 2.0 channels (according to windows, however I do have a subwoofer which seems to work with just 2 channels anyway). The formats it supports are DTS and Dolby Digital (according to windows).
My current settings: 1) Allow Passthrough - Yes 2) DTS capable receiver - Yes 3) Enable Dolby Digital (AC3) Transcoding - Yes 4) Resample Quality - High (because on a beast gaming PC) 5) Audio output device WASAPI: My Soundbar 6) Number of channels: 2.0 Any suggestions of settings I should change or add?
Main questions: Do I need DD Transcoding or Direct sound instead of WASAPI?
Does having "Maintain original volume on Downmix affect my PCM and if it doesn't, should I use it only if I have a hard time hearing the dialogue or voices?
Please explain in layman's terms! I'm a complete newb to audio!
Thanks!
