Anyone else just, despise the show? It lost the entire point of the Addams narrative
Post Body

The ENTIRE point of the Addams family is taking horror tropes, and making it comedic. But this is just, horror tropes played straight. The Addams family is supposed to be cartoony. Death is something everyone experiences several times in their life (or a week).

Someone trying to murder you is just wholesome fun. But not only is murder treated so seriously, they force Wednesday to be so "outcast" they made an entire school of "outcasts" into preps to make her seem weird.

How does a school that honors Poe, have a dark prom, ect, look at Wednesday and go "oh weird goth chick". Would have loved the opposite. Make it seem like Wednesday's low energy deadpan makes her the preppy one. But that wouldn't be Netflix's copy and paste teen drama formula.

Just so disappointed.
