Post Body

My buddy and I are looking into building out his 06 Base AT RSX into a fun car that we can take to the track and maybe some shows down the road. This is literally less than 12 hours of research so far, so don't beat me to badly. From my quick initial research, I'm seeing that the K24a2 is the route to go but I'm finding various transmissions that people have used for this swap. What I'm looking for is to get more of an idea of what I should be researching so I don't go down a rabbit hole.

Thoughts so far to get this build going:

  • Start looking for a K24a2 motor
  • Research more into the kpro, do I also need a separate ECU or does the kpro take the place of the ECU
  • Decide on which transmission to use. Right now, I'm looking at the Type-S NSN4 6 speed, the 01-05 Integra Y2M3 6 speed with the LSD or as a simpler route just get the Base W2M5 5 speed.

From what I'm seeing, those 3 share the same chassis, so its less likely other modifications will be needed, but thoughts are highly welcomed. I know there's more that will need to come into play, but figured these will be the heavy hitting items that can get us moving.
