When I lived in Korea, buying a new car meant that for the 3-4 years of warranty, you would get free oil changes, tire rotations, brake work, and other maintenance covered for that duration.
I bought my Integra last November and itโs due for A1 service soon. When I got the car I swore the salesman said that the first and third services were covered under the basic warranty. I contacted another dealer that was close to me and they said that no, I have to pay for it. Around 200 for rotation and oil change.
I then called the dealer I bought it from and they said that the freebie is only at their dealership and itโs only the first and fifth time. I got my tire repaired under rim and tire coverage at another dealership so I assumed oil changes would be the same.
Forgive my ignorance but is general maintenance not typically covered for the duration of the warranty for new cars?
