I'm getting back into Across the Obelisk after a long break and I'm having more fun with it that ever before. Last played it, the Wolf Wars DLC had just been announced.

I have beaten the base game, but there is still plenty more to do. More characters and cards to unlock, new events to see... so I can definitely enjoy myself by continuing to just play the base game.

I'm probably going to get the DLCs eventually, but I'd like to know what people who have them already think. Are they strict improvements over the base game that I might as well grab now, or would you recommend playing out the base game until it starts getting stale and then grabbing a DLC to fresh things up?
