Iāve had a Seagull S6 for quite a while and while itās a fine guitar, I think itās more of a strummer where Iām more of a finger picker. Id like to try and find an OM, 000, or 00. I want something thatās more comfortable to sit on my couch with and is better suited for finger picking. No dreadnoughts, no cutaways, and electrics are not necessary. In fact Iād prefer it without. Any species wood is cool, but I like a pretty mellow sound, as in old, dirty strings. Iām thinking of this as a āforever guitarā. Iām willing to spend up to a couple grand, but I should probably keep it closer to one. Please tell me about your recommendations.
Guild OM120 all mahogany. Beautiful mellow sound. Easy to play and around $600. Got it for the same reason you talk about. Check it out.
