Should I use a trip sitter for my first trip?

I’m going to try acid in about two weeks and I want to make sure I’m fully prepared. I’m worried that if I use a trip sitter I’ll push back against the drug and won’t have a good trip as a result. I only really know one person I would trust but I still feel like I wouldn’t “give in” to the trip with her with me. I get easily self conscious in front of people and would prefer to be alone but since I’ve never done a psychedelic before I’m not sure if it’s a safe thing to do.
