I never encountered anybody else who got into the series this way, but it was probably back in 2009-10 or so

This is NOT the infamous iOS port of the trilogy, it was the very first game for only $4.99. I can’t find any proof that it existed, but it did. It was from Capcom

They spoiled the culprit of the fifth case on the title screen. It was advertised as a special and epic case where you TAKE DOWN THE CHIEF OF POLICE?!?!?

They also changed some dialogue in the fifth case. When Ema says to blow the fingerprint powder, she says you can also “tap” it away (because the phone didn’t use the DS mic functionality)

It was a great port of the first game, basically like emulating the DS version. They didn’t port over JFA and T&T until the infamous iOS port years later, at which point this game was removed from the App Store
