Managers and Senior Managers are starting to come in āonce a weekā but Iām not biting. I live at least an hour away from the office and Iām not about to add 2 hours to my workday any time soon. Anyone else?
at worst, one day a week would be the dream. If not, probably a new job would suffice.
Not everyone can afford to live close to downtownā¦
I agree but donāt force those who donāt like going to the office to come back. It isnāt necessary.
donāt even get me started about work clothes. i am very annoyed by the disparity between corp america and tech america that weāre still lagging behind times with the dress code. Iād be much more open to working at the office with a more relaxed code.
But how about their newly signed 20/30 year commercial leases? How about their investment in a new building? How about their newly hired barista? How can they justify that
Yes I agree that the earlier in your career the more beneficial it is to go in person, but effectively in this economy going back to the office is arguably a paycut nobody asked for.
The 10 minutes part is what makes it worth it. It takes me 10 mins to get from my bed to my desk. So if I had your commute, Iād do it too.
That MPG is brutal. I get 26 and I still complain. I definitely have a better WFH setup with a nice desk and chair combo
Wish I had this kind of gutsiness to offer ultimatums lol best of luck
Agreed. This is the very reason why I donāt want to give in to this one day a week.
Man the KoolAid is oozing not only in your comment but the username
As long as traffic isnāt bad, I think thatās doable.
Iām definitely arguing against going to work by telling them itās effectively a pay cut in this economy
Real world as in high gas prices and traffic jams just to do the same thing at the office?

I will hold out! We will not be forced back into the office especially with how much gas costs!!!
