I'm really frustrated right now. I'm a junior whos double majoring in accounting and finance and I'm having a really hard time getting into Big 4. I interviewed for External audit back in the fall semester and was rejected by both PwC and KPMG. Right now, I just reapplied to PwC for their Risk Assurance position during the summer of 2017 and I wasn't even invited to interview for it. The thing is: I have a 3.8 GPA and a really good resume. The format is good, it was checked many times by professors and career management people and I have a lot of experience. Does anyone know what I should do? I literally feel devastated right now because all my all nighters, slaving away in the library for the high GPA were for nothing.
The other side of this is that I have a really difficult family situation. So on top of doing 19 credits every semester, I have to work almost 30 hours a week to have money to support myself. This means I cant really attend networking events and I see that a lot of people in my grade know some of the recruiters. Is there anything I could do to get around this?
