Advice: Big 4 or private

I currently have about 7 years of accounting experience. With 3 years of public accounting experience at a smaller public accounting firm. I also have a CPA. Iām considering going Big 4 to try to improve my background but some have said that would be overkill suggesting public accounting is good enough.
My long term goal is to work as a CPA for a startup and run a small solo practice part time
Any advice will help
