I had to take a break from work to care for family, afterwards I decided not to go back to the accounting/finance roles that I held in the past, I went into personal training. SO its been several years but I have been trying to get a job back in accounting/finance. I have a huge gap on my resume for the 7 years I was away.
Recently, I landed a contract to hire position at a company that I love. I really wanted the position of Senior Accountant at the company. I was allowed to interview for the role, but I completely bombed the interview.
I bombed the technical questions which I found insane that I didn't know. it was softball questions like, " How to record a prepaid revenue, etc" basic stuff that I thought I knew. But I guess I am rustier that I thought. I really want this job. So I am trying to find a way to refresh my memory in a week (before my contract ends) and then ask for another interview and hopefully nail it.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a course that can quickly refresh my brain?
