I’m currently a freshman in college and my grades are good and I don’t waste all my time simply on school as I have tons of free time to spend with family. But along with this sub and other employees from big 4(Deloitte and Pwc) it sounds like I’d sign up for hell and to dedicate all of my time to big 4 if I go right out of college. I don’t want to have to waste 65 hours year round on the job. Can I still have the same opportunities for growth, both in tenure and pay, if I don’t choose the Big 4 route straight out of college? Are all big 4 offices this terrible in life work balance? Would I not be able to reach a well balanced work life job position that pays 100,000 if I don’t take the big 4 path and instead industry or medium size firm my first few years after college.
