Hi I’m currently in audit in a top 10 firm and was wondering if anyone has ever made the switch to big 4. What was your experience like, did you regret it? I’m just getting a bit tired of my current firm and I’m not sure if I need to try a different CPA firm or industry. Also, I wouldn’t mind hearing from people who did the opposite, I know a few people who boomeranged back to my firm from big 4. I don’t have my CPA and haven’t even studied for it, I do want it. I just feel like I work so many hours I don’t have time to study for it. I end up working 50hrs/week off busy season and eat the hours. Idk if I’m bad at my job or what. Also, I’m currently a associate/staff 2 who didn’t get promoted last year. It’s a mixture of taking LOA for medical reasons and having a horrible engagement right before promotion times.
