Are we expected to remember everything from our school textbooks?

Post Body

I'm currently just starting to take Intermediate Accounting Three. In my last class (Inter 2), I finished up the class with reporting liabilities and we discussed bonds. There was quite a bit about discounts, premiums, convertible bonds, etc. I'm not sure how I'm expected to remember everything when it comes time to intern or work a full-time job.

So my question is what did you guys do when you came across things you forgot in the workplace? Did you re-read your old textbook? Look it up?

Thank you in advance.
