I’m worried over the required billable hours at my firm

Post Body

I’m currently a Staff 2 at my firm (mid size regional) and studying for the last part of the CPA exam (credit begins to expire on 4/30). Been an intern here for 1.5 years and started full time after graduating grad school last June.

So far, I’ve been working an average of 50ish hours a week since busy season began, but it’s mainly because I have a hard cutoff at 7PM to study since I’m in a tight situation right now.

Do you think the firm will be understanding when looking at my hours after this busy season? Our requirement is 55-60, and I don’t think I can reach those hours without sacrificing study time.
