Post Body

I’ll start out saying this is not a troll post. I would like answers/advice please. So I was at a client out of state for a M&D company that makes pretzels, and we got a tour of the facility. At the end of the tour the guy showing us around gave us 2 huge boxes of pretzels each. One was a 500 pack the other was a 200 pack, and again this was for the 3 of us that were there. The Manager and semi senior took it, I took it as well, I am a staff myself. The manager said it’s pretzels and not a big deal. Later that day the partner comes and he wants a tour himself, so we all get a little nervous and the manager says we don’t have to tell him we took it but if he asks don’t lie. So the partner, who is a very by the book person, got the tour and when he came back a few minutes go by and the tour guy gives him a large bag of pretzels, it was a decent like party city type of bag but it wasn’t close to the boxes we receive. So a few minutes go by and the partner says did he give you guys anything and the manager left so it was only me and the other staff. We paused for a second and the other staff says yeah we received some pretzels. Then we changed the convo.

Today I was talking to the manager and he joined the convo and he talked about how he received pretzels then he goes I asked these guys and it was like pulling teeth out of them. With that comment I feel like he doesn’t trust us anymore and thinks we’re sneaky and doesn’t look at us the same.

Is this something I would get fired for? I know this is dumb talking about pretzels but I’m just worried now.
