Helpful tips for Advanced Accounting Class?

I’m performing at a lower standard than I’m used to with my advanced accounting course. I’m currently not in the field, as I’m still pivoting from my current job to accounting, and I really need this class so I can sit for cpa exams. Any helpful suggestions on how to do better and understand equity method and the adjustment worksheets better, I’d greatly appreciate it.
