Accountant shortage, yet nobody's hiring out here
Post Body

I understand that these companies want to hire people that have experience, but I've gone to all of my local accounting firms and asked if they we're looking to hire anybody to do taxes, but I'm willing to learn how to do more accounting related things if they're willing to teach me how to do it.

They all say it's too slow now, but it doesn't seem like it's slow for most firms this time of year. I'm an EA with no experience, but I would like to learn more about business returns and doing accounting, and it's starting to get frustrating and making me think that I should just find something else instead. Any advice to help with the job search, or should I just move on?
