Romantic(ish) Water Front View Needed?
Post Body

Thought I would throw this out there and see if anyone awesome can help an old antisocial, not very romantic, poor planning, professional geek out on his one year wedding anniversary.

40 year old, professional (as is wife) looking for a beautiful waterfront view location to treat wife to an impromptu late lunch picnic on Sunday, May 21st. She loves the beach, but due to various kid activities this weekend there is no way for us to get away.

No gifts, no getaways just another week in our busy lives. It's both of ours second go around with this whole marriage thing, but at this stage in life and with teen kids and activities it doesn't get the same attention it would have if it had been 15 years ago and just us.

Regardless of all that, I think I can treat her to a little surprise with a very brief 4-6 hour get away from it all on Sunday afternoon.

Trying to think about various waterfront/water view locations to have a pause in our day to appreciate everything. A substitute beach will have to do.

I was thinking something like Cypremort Point, False River or even Holly Beach. The last one is not a joke. :-) We both have fond memories as a kid out there, granted it's no Gulf Shores or Pensacola Beach, but you get sand, wind, and waves to look out and enjoy.

I'd even pay a little to use a pier or patio with a view if there is one available that no one would be using. Just need a couple of hours to have a picnic and sit and stare out at the water. Give a well deserving mom and wife a brief mental escape from it all.

Anyone have a connection or suggestion I'd love to hear them. Don't have much time to figure things out.
