Adaptable online version of the connections task (by Salthouse et al., 2000, which is an adaptation of the Trail Making Test; Reitan, 1958, 1992)? Or software to construct an online version?
Post Body

I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I'm used to making my experiments in e-prime. However, we are currently running a study were students will take the connections task in class. We weren't able to get any funding for the study, meaning that we have no means to pay for tablets. We can use the chromebooks from the school, but this means we can't install anything on them and have to run all the tests via a link online. I have looked around for software to program an online version, but most software programs that allow for this need you to do a lot of programming (as opposed to e-prime which I'm used to working with). I have programmed in the past, but this was years ago and would take me quite some time to get the hang of again.

We decided to involve a programmer, who agreed to do it at first (saying it was a simple task and not a lot of extra work and so on). This was before COVID, then COVID came and our programmer's workload increased since he also had to do ICT support. No problem, since we couldn't run the experiment during COVID anyway. With the new school year starting, we would like to start running the experiment this month and have already made arrangements with the school. We had to stalk our programmer to get any kind of response. He still led us on to believe that he was working on the task. Last week he said he would send us a link with what he had so far. This week he said that there was a miscommunication and he didn't know that it would be so much work and that it had to be ready so soon. We're going to discuss this with him next week (hopefully, if we can get a hold of him). However, my faith in him delivering is below 0 at this point. We would need the task preferably yesterday and I'm only working on this project for 20%.

So does anyone know of an adaptable online version of the Connections task? Or software that I could easily get the hang of to make an online version?

tldr: I need a version of the connections task that can be run online soon. Our programmer bailed on us. Is there any adaptable online version, or software that I could quickly get the hang of to make an online version?
