This comment by u/drdreydle (https://www.reddit.com/r/AcademicPsychology/comments/81244x/counseling_psych_phd_vs_lcsw_vs_clinical_science/dv0saou/) was very helpful, but I have follow-up questions.
Which degrees will allow me to be employed such that I can do a combination of clinical work (psychotherapy or counseling), research, and training/supervision/mentorship (i.e., be involved in the training of budding mental health professionals). Also, I have seen doctoral degrees in Counselor Education and Supervision. Would such degrees put me in a position to gain employment for a combination clinical work, research, and training/supervision/mentorship?
Thanks so much in advance. Much love.
EDIT: Of all of the possible degrees that would open up opportunities for a position as a clinicIan, researcher, and trainer/supervisor/mentor, which one do you think has the highest likelihood of getting employed for such a position?
