we all know that psychology is a discipline has been around for longer than anyone can remember. from greek philosophers, to pavlov, to bowlby, to ainsworth ,to freud, we’ve been learning about human behavior and the mind for a little over a millennium.
however, it wasn’t until 1879 that a man by the name of wilhelm wundt established the first psychology lab! the opening of this lab is credited with establishing psychology as a separate discipline from philosophy and biology. many of the students that wundt trained in his research lab went on to make their own contributions to psychology. the first lab may be not like the ones today, but the establishment of the first research psychology lab is amazing and is remarkable in all honesty.
