Did Old Testament authors have access to other Old Testament manuscripts?

Post Body

Iā€™m just wondering how the authors were able to keep a ā€œcohesiveā€ message regarding the coming messiah in the New Testament.

I would think if they had access to other Old Testament books thatā€™d make sense, but I also know the ā€œBibleā€ didnā€™t exist back then so, just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on that.
