How Does Saul of Tarsus conversion (from an academic perspective) affect the resurrection narrative?

I’m trying to keep this question academic in nature but not sure how to ask it in that way lol.

So, saul was a Christian persecutor… then it sounds like after Jesus resurrected, Jesus met Saul, made him blind, and then he converted to Christianity and died for his beliefs?

It looks like his martyrdom is supported by Clement 1 epistle, so… it seems like this story is true if clement is to be taken seriously?

Is there any info I’m missing that would help me get more clarity?

Going through how Jesus became god right now but I don’t have the background knowledge on a lot of content referenced in the book.
