Were there KJV equivalents (culturally-dominant translations) in other Protestant languages?

Given the dominance of the KJV in English culture, I was wondering if the similar Reformation mechanisms resulted in single translations that were as far reaching in other languages?
Also, are there any notable differences in interpretation that can be traced to comparative translations around this time (e.g. KJV and passages from other languages diverging meaningfully in underlying meaning?)
