Split on which I should get. Obviously, Christmas has already passed (for me), but im still planning on getting a post present.
Anyways, should I purchase the NOAB fifth edition or all volumes of the Jewish Study Bible? They seem very intriguing. Overall, what would you happen to recommend more?
It really depends on what you want. The two naturally have somewhat different theology guiding their translation process. The JSB is also just the TaNaKh, aka the Christian Old Testament, whereas the NOAB will have the New Testament, and the Apocrypha (if you get that version). Personally, I tend to prefer the JSB for the books that it includes, but that is a more limited selection.
