So I have a potential argument/point of view with this whole pro-life stance on abortion.
Basically, pro-lifers are saying women shouldnât have an abortion because they a killing a life.
So my argument or point of view is⌠could forcing a woman to carry a baby full term be compared to forcing someone with cancer to go through chemo? Because for the Pro-choice POV, if youâre pregnant you shouldnât have an abortion because youâre killing a child. So, therefore, if someone is diagnosed with cancer he or she must go through chemo treatment to save a life.
(Side note: I am not familiar with cancer. If I said something incorrectly, I apologize. This post is not meant to offend)
And itâs comparable to the other side: âmy body my choice.â Because a person with cancer is not forced to go through chemo. Itâs left up to the individual with cancer if he or she wants to try to fight the cancer and go through with (what appears to be) excruciating treatment, which has itâs own positives and negatives.
I am wondering if you think my analogy makes sense or if Iâm stupid. To me, it makes sense, but I donât know if thatâs just how my brain works.
So, Is there something there or am I just high? Lol
