Been on aripiprazole for one week, have had WILD sex dreams pretty much every night. However, it is also SO DIFFICULT to orgasm. I used to orgasm six times in one session easily, now even one requires considerable effort, laser focus, and the orgasm itself is so pitifully unsatisfying. Taking 5mg, bumping up to 10 today. Also taking 300mg bupropion. Recently diagnosed bipolar 2, bupropion triggered hypomania which includes, for me, very risky sexual behaviors. I’ve always been very sexual due to childhood abuse and early exposure to sex; while it’s caused me some trouble, now well into adulthood, pleasure and intense sexual connection with partners is vital. Bupropion not only increased my already high libido, it also made orgasming better (significantly more intense); going from better to BAD is distressing. Anyone relate? Anyone can offer even anecdotal evidence that this isn’t forever? Because if it is……give me my fucking mania back, this shit sucks, I just want to have a decent fucking orgasm.
