Step 1: Install a Matrix Client

You have two good options for Matrix clients:

1. FluffyChat (recommended):

   • Download and install FluffyChat from F-Droid here: https://f-droid.org/packages/chat.fluffy.fluffychat/
     
   • Alternatively, you can download FluffyChat from the Google Play Store here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=chat.fluffy.fluffychat
     
   • For iOS, you can download FluffyChat from the Apple App Store here: https://apps.apple.com/app/fluffychat/id1551469600
     

2. Element (alternative):

   • Open the F-Droid app on your device. If you do not have F-Droid installed, download it here: https://f-droid.org/
     
   • Search for "Element" in F-Droid.
     
   • Download and install the Element app.
     
   • Alternatively, you can download Element from the Google Play Store here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=im.vector.app
     

Step 2: Log into Matrix.org

1. Open the Matrix client (FluffyChat or Element).
   
2. Tap "Sign In" or "Register."
   
3. If you already have a Matrix account, enter your username and password, then tap "Sign In."
   
4. If you are new to Matrix:
   
   • Tap "Register."
     
   • Select the server matrix.org or enter a custom server URL if you are hosting your own.
     
   • Fill in the required fields to create your account.
     
   • Verify your email address if prompted.
     

Step 3: Join the Introductions Room

1. Open the introductory room link: https://matrix.to/#/##introductions-arizonafreaksmeetgreet:matrix.org
   
2. It will automatically open in your Matrix client (FluffyChat or Element).
   
3. Click "Join Room."
