Allowing an Office 365 AD be managed by an external Azure account
Post Body

The title might be a bit of an XY problem, so I will get to what we are actually trying to achieve.

We recently joined MPN and received Azure related-benefits. We want to use those benefits on our pre-existing Office 365 environment, but they can only be activated on the MPN account Azure tenant. From here I see 2 options:

  1. Migrate existing 365 tenant to the MPN Azure tenant/365 account.
  2. Give permissions to the MPN Azure account to manage the 365 tenant and then switch the subscription to it.

I have no idea if number 2 will work, but after researching option 1 I understood its not really an option - its hell.

Can anyone advise on option 2?
