Suzuki LtZ 400 using bolts instead of plastic fasteners?

Post Body

So basically I just did my first full service on my new LtZ 400 and had to take all fairings off but offcourse I broke a couple of those black plastic fasteners. And besides them breaking they really didn’t hold the plastics securely, all my fairings were rattling.

Picture 1 is the OEM screw Picture 2&3 is my way I decided to keep my plastics together.

Would it be good to leave it like this? Maybe cut it a bit shorter but besides that I was gonna leave it like this. I’m pretty sure it can’t cause any problems like this but since Suzuki used those plastic fasteners I don’t know if they did it to save money or because of other reasons. And I have a shit ton of these bolts laying around ( new ones ).

Any help is greatly appreciated!
