My dad recently was on his boat and had just got a new clip and case for his phone. But somewhere along the way possibly while boarding or departing the phone was lost.( it just clipped on to his pants) My dad went to ATT and when he got there was told that he could lease a phone but he couldn't just buy the phone then and there. He was told that he needed to make payments or could just pay for the phone on his first bill. He normally would call me to ask for advice but obviously couldn't, is this true? He was upfront with the employee about the situation and that he wanted to switch carriers, but needed a phone that day. He was worried he would lose all his pictures, data and all his contacts. So he thought he could only get it back with ATT then switching later. Can someone please help? He has only had the phone 4 or 5 days at this point. Thanks to anyone in advance!!
