I posted about this about 2 months ago, but I waited to get the BOGO and now we are in December. I see it expires on 12/6 so my plan is to do before then - just want to validate my plan.

Buy 2 iPhone Xr's one with a new number/account and one as an upgrade for an existing line. When I receive the phones my plan is to ONLY activate the new line (do nothing with the one for existing line). Both phones get wrapped and put under the tree until 12/24. I think this shoudl work? - my only question/concern is on the existing line. Hoping it will just stay as is until 12/24 when I move the nano SIM from old phone to new one - don't want my daughter to find out about it until then. Am I missing anything? Will this work? thx
