There was a thread the other day, but it didn't get much traction. Just seeing if you agree with the rootmetrics report.
I recently visited Chicago and San Francisco. AT&T was phenomenal in Chicago. Very consistent and beat out some places that Verizon dropped a signal. Never actually saw LTE once. I mostly stayed around downtown Chicago and Logan square, up to Evanston, and down the Southside of town. Consistent 5G and it was fast. Super low pings. Beat out of Verizon consistently.
In San Francisco and around Marin county, still great. Great ping and consistently fast speeds but had some issues with handoffs. Saw some LTE. Really dense in general. No service at some points going into Muir beach, but Verizon didn't either. Interestingly some 5G at points but the network couldn't decide what it wanted, so stayed on UWB on Verizon on the beach. Just like when you want to face time moments with family are special.
And then I get back to Denver and so inconsistent. Can't decide if super high ping or low pings, but lots of variability.
What's your experience in and around your home cities, and what's it been like if you've traveled?
