Me, my wife and 9 year old son are moving to Atlanta next month from another state. My wife has a level 6 felony for theft from 2 years ago. She’s in the process of getting it reduced to a misdemeanor but I’m not counting on it. I’ve owned my current house for 11 years so i have no recent rental history. My record is clean and I have excellent credit and make more than enough $$ to qualify for a lease on my own. Everything I’ve read says all adult occupants must have a background screen. Should I just apply for a lease on my own by myself? I don’t want to risk getting evicted if the landlord finds out my wife is living with me. We want to rent a house in a nice neighborhood on the north side just outside of the city. Looking for the $2500/mo range for a 3 br 1.5 ba.
