Was "Hotman" a thing, or did Aang just troll everyone?

Post Body

My husband mentioned that the whole time we see Sozin and Roku in the historical episodes, not one person uses "hotman".

At first I chalked it up to the Queen calling the Prime Minister "Bruh", but then I started thinking.

Aang loves to play pranks and jokes on people. What if he realized it was the perfect opportunity for the ultimate troll? Just tell them they did it 100 years ago, and see how many people he could get to go along with it!!

What do you think Reddit, is Aang telling the truth about hotman being a historical slang, or is he trolling everyone for the lols??

Comments

What if it's like a bigotry thing?

Aang grew up during a time where the fire nation was actively colonizing other areas, what if hotman is just slang for fire nation native
