r/ATBGE has evolved over the years and we’ve noticed several instances where certain types of posts receive a disproportionate amount of upvotes. During the sub’s infancy, we had an overwhelming amount of car posts that resulted in our mod team adding the flair system that we currently use today. If you’re tired of seeing a certain type of post (cars, tattoos, etc.) you can filter what you see by a post’s flair. The easiest way to filter flair is by using RES (Reddit Enhancement Suite browser add-on), but it’s not mandatory. The reddit redesign is supposed to make filtering by flair easier without any additional plugins.

The mod team has been reading comments on the tattoo posts, and we’ve realized a portion of our community thinks some of these submissions are of low quality. As part of an effort to lower the number of posts that need to be removed, we have added "Just because it’s a tattoo does not mean it is awful taste." to Rule 7. We will be a bit more critical with our removals with tattoos to enforce this as well.
