[DISCUSSION] I've been planning on buying a new SSD. Is there a way to have multiple SSDs without losing speeds?

Post Body

I'm a beginner when it comes to pc builds. My motherboard is the ASUS ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING, and I already have one of those SSDs which is screwed right to the motherboard. Is that what you call M.2? After some light research it looks like my motherboard has an additional slot for an SSD but if I were to install a new one to that slot, it would supposedly go slower for some reason. So if I could install a new SSD without losing speeds, what would be the best way to do it?
