Sent my motherboard in once my system became unstable and noticed this capacitor has failed and is leaking its fluid... ASUS is claiming this is "customer induced damage" and refusing to honor warranty. Taking a look at this sub, this experience doesn't seem uncommon... I'm not crazy am I?! A capacitor should be failing in just a year.
Bought one asus rog laptop I August 2022 and had to return it due to faulty cooling and fan whine. Got a different Asus rog a couple weeks late. Multiple issues from the get go, Asus customer service didn't care. Finally got an RMA in January 2024, then told basically the whole thing was a write off and they wanted more than the laptop cost to repair it. Asus CS admitted the issue wasn't something I could have done, that the product shouldn't have left the factory, yet told me I'd still have to pay for it.

God forbid you not be able to buy from a company who's trying to scam you out of a huge sum of money.
It's like saying if you get your money back from a mugger they'll never talk to you again.
