Submitted a god-awful essay for HON 171 and I don't know what to do
Post Body

I submitted a D-grade essay. I was under word count by 200 words and I am not even sure if I understood the prompt correctly ... It was a 1500-word essay and my body paragraphs were two chunks of babbling. I haven't seen the score yet but I am assuming I will be getting a poor grade (perhaps a 60 percent at the most but my professor said he would deduct 1/3 of the points if there are more than two mechanical errors and I didn't have much time to proofread). What would retaking HON 171 look like? My professor is a really good professor but I majorly screwed up by procrastinating and having a pretty shitty thesis for my essay. If my essay grade is around 60 percent at the most (it's weighted as 20 percent of my grade and I have an A- at the moment) and I do relatively (90 ) well on the rest of my assignments (a paper weighted as 20 percent of my grade and a writing assignment weighted as 10 percent of my grade), I could squeeze by with a C /B- but I feel like that's highly unlikely. After the grade is posted, should I contact my Barrett advisor on what to do and how would I discuss this with my professor?

Edit: I think that's enough good and bad I've gotten the point... Thanks to those who've been supportive! I suppose I will just wait it out for where I'm going to go and if I do get a very poor grade, I have to speak with my professor anyway. Just will be more proactive next time.

Edit 2: Soooo I got an 86 idk what this means except I need to manage my time better.
