Post Body

Context: After being fired from your job and out of food, a Wulver girl gives you some fish to help you out, and the two of you decide to spend Christmas together.

Usage: You may tweak or record this script.

Monetization: All forms of monetization are OK with me! YouTube, Patreon, etc. I would appreciate being able to listen to the recording, if possible. Let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!

Note: To no disrespect in regards to this Scottish myth, I came across this a while ago and thought that maybe something like this would be kind of cool. I will admit of taking some liberties with the mythos, but I do recommend you looking up about this creature. It's kind of cool.

[It opens up with you back at your place late at night, you hear some scratches outside your door]

***

[SFX: Scratching on wood]

"Oh, my apologies, I have heard that you were really down on your luck, so I figure I give you some fish."

[You look like your about to cry]

"Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no. Please don't cry, I know I can come across as scary and all but-"

[You interrupt her and say it isn't that]

"Huh? Than what is it?"

[You mention that there tears of joy, that someone would do something that nice]

"Tears of Joy? I mean, I guess I can see that."

[She sighs and continues]

"Look, if this is too much for you I can go right now."

[You insist that she stays]

"Okay, okay. I'll stay."

[She walks into your home and sits down on a chair]

"So, I'm not gonna lie, this is the first time a Human ever invited me into their house before."

[Your surprised by her response]

"Well as you can probably figure, I'm not exactly human."

[You raise an eyebrow]

"Now don't get the wrong idea, I'm not a malevolent creature, just one who preferers to be left alone is all. I mean there are times that you probably want to be alone as well right? It's just, when you try to be nice to people, they just shriek "Ahhh, Monster!" and go running off. Hence why I usually do these kind deeds in night."

[You get up to put the kettle on and start cleaning the fish]

"If I'm boring you, just let me know and I can take my leave."

[You say that she isn't boring you, in fact you find it rather interesting]

"Well, I guess that makes sense. Not everyday you see a Wulver Like me."

[You ask if there more like her or is she a very rare species]

"Well, I'll admit. More of us are around Scotland, very few of us travel down this south. Mostly because they think that were werewolves and we are clearly not."

[You ask not to be rude but what is the difference]

"Well for starters, let's address the fact that Werewolves are Half human. Wulver, from what my family has told me, aren't human. We just look like humans."

[She puts her hand on her forehead rubbing it]

"God, it's like the Goofy debate all over again. Is he a dog? Is he human? He's just Goofy."

[You hear the kettle whistling and you go to pour a cup of tea and hand her one]

"Thank you, and apologies for going on that lament. It's just, people just assume were either monsters of the night or like this half breed of something. When we hold no ill will towards people and we're just are what we are."

[You go back and prepare the fish to make an equivalent of a "Poor man's stew" Just potatoes, milk, fish, maybe some leftover veggies]

"Well it looks like your making good use of the fish I brought you"

[She tries to get up but you ask her to wait.]

"Oh, what is it human?"

[You ask her if she wouldn't mind staying for Christmas]

"Christmas?"

[Your about to explain Christmas when she interupts]

"I mean, I know what Christmas is, but why do you want me here for it?"

[You tell her that it would be nice to have a little company]

"I guess I can stay...but what are you planning?"

[You bring out the stew and ask if she wants to join you]

"Mmm...That does smell good. Why not, I guess I can stay with you. After all, staying alone at Christmas doesn't seem like that great of an ordeal."

[She realized what she just said]

"I'm sorry, did I hit a touchy subject?"

[You shake your head and offer her a bowl of the stew]

"Well that's good at least. If it's any worth, your probably the first human to repay my kindness."

[You blush a little]

"Isn't that cute, come here."

[She comes around and give you a warm hug. It seems that you found a hugger in your group]

"I know things seem rough, and it seems really bleak, and all hope seems lost..."

[You pull away as if to say that you get it]

"Anyways things will get better, just you wait. Oh, and Merry Christmas."

[You respond with a Merry Christmas as the two of you tap each other bowls in a toast]

[The End]
