[he kisses you on the forehead]

“Thank you, darling… this means a lot.”

[he sits down]

“Oh! Wow, this all looks really good… all my favorite things are here!”

“You… you must have gotten up so early for all of this…!”

“... You… that early? But… you should sleep more…!”

“... Repaying me for taking care of you while you were sick?”

“I care about you a lot. Taking care of you is what I should do.”

“By the way, you’re still on sick leave, right?”

“Okay, so… there was a little contest of sorts at the office last night.”

“No, it wasn’t why I had to stay late. That was because of my manager… but!”

“Long story short, I won a free meal for two at that new restaurant down the street.”

“Yeah, the one that we always joked about constantly being under construction? It opened last week.”

“Well I don’t blame you; you got sick, after all.”
