Logically I know they’re normal teeth but they do this thing where… it sinks down in the center??? where the teeth contact??? and then the two sides of the teeth inside and outside my mouth feel really sharp if I run my tongue over them. It’s hard to explain.

“I’m so sorry that I had to take you away like that, but I was starting to get impatient at you playing dumb or hard to get…”

[you struggle]

“Whoa, whoa! Calm down! Please, don’t struggle so much! I don’t want you to hurt yourself!”

[pause]

“Oh, please don’t look at me like that! It– it makes me feel sad…”

[pause]

“Huh? You want an explanation? Well… I whisked you away, my bride!”

[pause]

“Yes, my bride! Did I stutter?”

[pause]

“What do you mean you aren’t my bride? You’re my soulmate, aren’t you? I knew it from the moment I laid my eyes upon you!”

“Don’t you feel the same way? That’s what soulmates do, yes? They fall in love the second their eyes meet! That’s what all the books the humans write say!”

[pause]

“Why do I talk as if I’m not a human?”

“Um… well, since we are to be married, I suppose I won’t hide it!”

“I’m a vampire! Isn’t it lovely? Your soon-to-be husband is a very powerful vampire! I’ve been around for centuries and centuries, so it’s amazing to finally meet my soulmate!”

“... Why– why are you angry…? You’re my soulmate, aren’t you? You should be happy! If I were any less rich from being around for so long, I would have been embarrassed to even face you!”

[pause]

“Why did I tie you up? Oh! D-Do the ropes hurt? I’m sorry! I just didn’t have anything more comfortable on hand, and something like silk is easier to escape from…”

[pause]

“Ah, yes! Well… I approached you last night, but you pushed me and ran away! It– it made me really sad, you know! You’re my soulmate, but you pushed me away! I really, really didn’t want you to run away, so I um…”

“... Hypnotized you for a little while…”

“And I was scared that you would try to run away again once you woke up so…”

“I– I had to…”

[pause]

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry! I-I know you’re surprised at that… would you have preferred it if I’d carried you in my arms all the way to my castle? Well technically I did, but… was my presentation the problem? Is that why you ran away?”

“I-If that’s the problem, then I’m sure I can fix it! How would you have liked to be taken away? Well you’re already here, but– I’ll let you help with the wedding! Would that be alright for you, darling?”

[pause]

“... What do you mean you want to go home? Oh, oh please don’t cry! Why are you crying?”

[pause]

“... I don’t… Understand? Why would you want to go back home when my castle is such an upgrade?”

“M-My servants and I can provide you with anything! Please don’t cry!”

[pause]

“Let you out…? But– but from how you’re acting right now, you’ll try to run away as soon as I do! And you can’t run away! You’re my bride!”

“Are you hungry? Is that it? You– you were out for a while, after all…”

“... You’re human?”

“... What does that…”

[pause]

“Oh… right… humans don’t… tend to live very long…”

[long pause]

“Well, then I suppose it can’t be helped.”

[he bites his own arm]

“Come now, my bride. Have a drink of my blood. Don’t worry about me!”

[pause]

“What do you mean? It’s to turn you into a vampire, of course! So we can be together for all eternity!”

[pause]

“You… you don’t want to? But– but why?!”

(getting desperate) “I’m your soulmate! Your husband! Why won’t you drink?! I know you’re cursed, but trust me! We are meant to be together!”

(noticeably becoming more unhinged) “You– you don’t want me to be alone again, do you?! H-Human lives all pass in a blink of an eye. No matter what, I’m always left alone again! You won’t leave, will you?! You won’t– you won’t die on me, will you?!”

“Please, drink!! Being a vampire isn’t bad! You– you can live forever! You can fly, you get super strength, you can– you can do anything! Don’t you want all of that and more?!”

[pause]

“Why?! Why don’t you want to live forever?! Do you– do you really want to leave me alone?! Break my heart again?!”

“You can’t! You– you just can’t!”

“You have to understand! I’m your other half! Don’t– don’t humans adore the idea of soulmates?! So why won’t you believe me when I say that I’m yours?! That curse of yours has to be causing it!”

(shaky voice) “... But I’ll break that curse. I’ll break the curse of death that all humans face, and this curse that keeps you from loving me…!”

“Just trust me!!”

(yelling) “IS THAT SO HARD TO ASK?!”

[he stops, breathing hard]

(his voice becomes eerily stable) “Ah, darling…”

“You leave me no choice…”

[he grabs you]

“Please… don’t struggle. There is no need to be afraid… the pain will be brief.”

[he shoves his arm into your mouth]

“You’ll go to sleep for a while… and when you wake, you will be a vampire like I.”

“Ah… and I forgot… when a vampire is turned in this way… you will be compelled to obey me…”

“Yes… my love, my bride, we will be together. And I’m sorry about that… unfortunate side effect, but the other way would be to drain you, and I don’t want to harm you…”

[his voice starts getting fuzzy]

“Shhh, shhh. Don’t cry… don’t cry… if you cry… it makes me sad…”

“Don’t worry. I’ll be the perfect husband for you… I just need you by my side… I need someone by my side who loves me like you will love me…”

[his voice slowly grows more distant]

“Don’t be afraid… Just sleep for a while. I know it hurts… but I’ll be here when you wake up… and then I’ll start finding ways to break the curse…”

“You have to…”
