Context: It's December 1st and everyone is getting ready for their Jobs in the north pole, You find yourself with some down time and decide to see your Childhood friend, as she trains in order to get on the Sleigh team.

[Scene opens up in the North Pole, outside. You hear someone Training as if it's a chant]

[SFX: Slight breeze of the cold air and someone talking in the distance]

"One and two, and One and two, and One and two, and One and two, and..."

[You get closer and the chanting gets louder]

"One and two, and One and two, and One and two, and One and two, and"

[You walk right in front of your Friend, still in the middle of her repetition, She responds while still working out]

"Oh hey, How's it going? Did they let you out early?"

[You gesture as it's the end of the work day, and you are heading home]

"Wow, lucky. I figure they get you for some mandatory overtime. So, What's up?"

[You gesture as if to ask her what she is doing?]

"What does it look like silly? I'm training for the Big night? I feel it this year, I just know it!'

[You give a look of doubt]

"I know, I know. I've tried for the past...Who knows how many years it has been now...3?...5?..."

[You gesture 10 years]

"Right, right. 10 years, but I feel it today. Lucky number 11."

[You pause in doubt as she still is training]

"I know, I have been saying that for the past...6?...maybe 7?"

[You gesture 9]

"9? Are you sure?"

[You gesture positive]

"Okay, your always the egghead of the group."

[You ask how long has she been training today]

"How long have I been training today? Well, rough gusstimate would be...10 Hours"

[Shocked by the response she continues]

"2 hours of Burpee's, 1 hour of squats, and the remainder of hours were just marathoning, weightlifting, crunches, more burpee's, and some mixture of different cardio exercises."

[SFX: Timer going off]

"Whew, now I can take a 5 minute break"

[Concerned you ask why only five minutes]

"Well, traveling the world I got to build up my stamina right?"

[Still concern you continue to press]

"Aw, come on. You know I can do this. What was my last record again?"

[You gesture 12]

"Exactly; 12. Besides, I'm expecting a call on the results today."

[SFX: Phone ringing]

"Oh, that must be them. One moment please"

[Answers the phone]

"Hello? Oh hi boss, How's things? Wife and kids good?"

[Pause]

"Right to business I see. So, what's the good news"

[Another pause]

"Uh-Huh. Uh-Huh. Uh-Huh. Right, right."

[Another pause goes by, She gets more discourage]

"Uh-Huh. Okay. I see. Well, thank you for letting me know. I appreciate it."

[She sits down, with a look of defeat, concerned you ask what's wrong]

"Huh? Oh yeah, It's just...Well...."

[She takes a deep sigh and lets it out]

"It's not good news. In fact it's really, really bad news."

[You sit down next to her, rubbing her back]

"Not only did I not make it. I was ask to never apply for it again."

[You don't want to pry too much but you have to ask why?]

"Apparently, all that hard work...It....It..."

[She tries to hold back the tears and clenches her chest]

"It made me too good!"

[Slightly in shock and in confusion you continue to press, as she sniffs and tries to pull herself together]

"*Hic* You see...*Sniff* I'm too strong, and too fast. They need equal speed and equal power, and yes equal stamina in order to qualify. Apparently I overshot it."

[You explain why can you not apply next year as she tries to reply, still tears in her eyes]

"Do you really think they would let me? Or even believe that I would take it easy?"

[Pause]

"Your silence is very reassuring"

[She bends over, covering her face. Sobbing. As you hush her and try to calm her down.]

"*Sniff* Thank you... You know, out of all the workers and reindeers, your the only one who believe that I could do this. A Reindeer girl couldn't ask for a better friend."

[She wraps her arms around you as you hear her still trying to pull herself together]

"I know, it's not my style for being sentimental, but can you blame me?"

[Still rubbing her back she continues]

"I wanted so badly to be on the Sleigh Team, and to show the person who really means the world to me, what I would do for them."

[Taken back by this you ask who, realizing her mistake she tries to correct herself]

"Who?...Uh...Neverminded. I think all that working out finally caught up to me."

[You continue to press her]

"It's not important, besides what makes you think that it isn't the stress or lack of stamina of working too long?"

[You mention her previous record]

"I have been working out for only 10 hours when my best was 12..."

[Pause]

"Man, this is why I should really pace myself more."

[You continue to press the question from earlier]

"Your really not going to let me get away for that question are you?"

[Pause]

"Okay, okay. I'll tell you. Just one thing though, try not to make fun of me too muck ok?"

[You agree]

"Okay...It's you."

[Slightly stunned, you are wondering if it's a Joke]

"It's not a Joke dude. I know that we have been buds since we were kids, but I always liked you. I thought these feelings would go away as I got older. However they just amplified."

[you're still in shock but she continues]

"I know your more into feminine woman, but I figure; If I did this, this might impress you enough to maybe...even...go out with a Reindeer Girl....Like me."

[You look at her, trying to comfort her to the best of your ability. You give her a hug]

"Thanks, I know I don't stand a chance against the other more Feminine Reindeer girls, but...I do appreciate all that you do for me."

[She steps up and try to walk away but you hold her hand back]

"Hm.? What are you-"

[You stand up and kiss her for a bit. but then shortly apologize]

"No need to apologize, but I'm slightly confused. I thought...That you...and I...Are you sure?"

[You nod and say that you always loved her]

"Wait, so that time you told me... *Gasp* You lied to me."

[You apologize again]

"okay, tell you what. I'll Forgive you if you go on a date with me. Deal?"

[You eagerly agree]

"Woah, you really do care about me."

[leans in for a few kisses]

"I also hate to ask this of you, but do you think you could help me get back to my place? I think I pulled something with that little stunt of yours."

[You agree and apologize again]

"Don't sweat it. Just don't forget our date, and we'll call it even."

[You put her arm over your shoulder and carry her off]
