[SFX: Magical shenanigans]

[Ramus sits on the couch, fidgeting and glancing about nervously]

“OK, Ramus… Calm down. Your fiance could bench press a planet, she’s going to be fine… Nnh… Maybe… maybe watching her would help me calm down. I fucking HATE sitting at home and not being able to be by her side! RRGH… OK. This is fine. It’s all good. I’m just gonna take a little peek… She won’t mind, right? Bright Eyes knows I’m just protective! Not possessive. Not… OK, fine, I’m possessive, but for good reasons! Rrgh, whatever. I’m sure she won’t mind if I just check in. Let’s see…”

[SFX: More magical shenanigans]

“There she is! Oh… She’s so pretty and just look at that confident walk! Go get ‘em, babydoll! You’ve got this! Ooh, there’s victim number one! That’s… Mandy, I think. Yeah, the bitch that did the actual handcuffing. Damn, she found her fast. OK, Bright Eyes! Let her have it!”

[Pause]

“...Annnd my fiance just patted her shoulder, smiled and walked away…. Ugh. Well, maybe living well is the best revenge, right? …Fuck, I’ve been hanging around that gorgeous, perfect creature too long. Am I going soft? Mmh… It doesn’t matter. As long as she’s happy and feels safe with me, I don’t care. I don’t care about… anything else…”

[Pause]

“Oh, and there’s… Cindy? Yeah! The weirdo that eats pizza with a fork and knife. OK, Bright Eyes, c’mon. She was the one that taunted you as you tried to struggle free. Let her have it, babe!”

[Pause]

[Ramus sighs]

“And, once again, she just forgives them… Maybe Bright Eyes needs my help. M-Maybe she needs me there with her! I NEED to be there with her, otherwise she could die again a-and I can’t…”

[He struggles to catch his breath for a moment before he calms]

[SFX: Ominous magic]

“Gaaah, fine! Fine! I’m behaving. I’m behaving… I love her more than I love mischief, I promise, I just…If something happened, I’d… I’d be helpless to save her again. I never want to have to see that again, see her suffer…”

[He takes a breath]

“OK, OK… Let’s see.That’s Olivia. Yep, there she goes again. Wait. Who the fuck just grabbed her shirt?!”

[Your vision / his vision is spun around, face-to-face with the ex]

“HIM! No no no no NO! If that motherfucker lays a hand on her, I swear to GOD- OW! Ow ow ow ow ow, fine! Fine. I swear to SATAN!”

[Pause]

“RRGH! WHO DOES HE THINK HE IS SCREAMING IN HER FACE LIKE THAT! I’LL KILL HIM!”

[SFX: Ominous magic]

“I DON’T CARE IF I GET PUNISHED FOR IT! DO YOU HEAR ME?! I WILL MOVE HEAVEN, HELL AND EARTH TO PROTECT HER!”

[He jumps to his feet, radiating anger, when…]

“Wait… What the Hell is that sound…? That sounds like really powerful magic about to-”.

[SFX: A magical flare]

“BRIGHT EYES! Shit shit shit, I can’t see, it’s all just LIGHT! RRGH, if they hurt her, I don’t care if Lucifer himself shows up, I will-! … Wait. There she is! Wait, where the Hell are they? Fuck’s sake, let’s turn up the brightness here.”

[The scene before him clears, somewhat, and once he realizes…]

“Holy…shit. She took them to a cave of some kind? Wait, hang on, demon GPS go! …Abkhazia? What the fuck…? Where even…?”

[It dawns on him]

“WAIT! Bright Eyes was super into those caving disaster vids. And the biggest cave in Abkhazia… is Veryovkina.”

[Pause]

[He sits in disbelief for a moment]

“...She took them to the bottom of the deepest cave in the world… And she’s just… gonna leave them there? Holy shit, that’s… that’s metal as fuck! God, that woman is hot, I really can’t wait to-”.

[Pause?]

“AH! Uh…h-hey Bright Eyes! I, um, didn’t realize you could hear me while I was doing this spell.”

[Pause?]

[Ramus laughs sheepishly]

“Whaaat? No, babe, no! I wasn’t spying… Let’s count it more as voyeurism because THAT? That was ice fucking cold and I love it. You gonna leave ‘em to die?”

[Pause]

“Haha, sure, you let rescue know. You’re so cute… Do they know that if it starts raining they’ll slowly drown at the bottom of a pitch black hole nearly 7,300 feet below the dirt?”

[Pause]

“Good girl! Psychological warfare is important. So… would you say leaving them tied up down there is sufficient revenge?”

[Pause]

“Hehe, babe… I don’t think you went overboard. They left you chained up for four days and it’ll probably take like, what, a month or something for rescue? It’s fine. They can eat each other! Or lick some cave moss, I don’t fucking care. And don’t think I didn’t see you trying to be all cute with your earlier attempts! You were gonna go for the “the best revenge is living well” tactic, right?”

[...]

“Oh my Satan, you’re adorable. It probably would’ve worked, actually, hehe. Shame your ex doesn’t know how to keep his dumbass mouth shut, eh?”

[Pause]

“Ooh, please tell me how I’m so much more handsome again. Pretty please? Better in bed too, right?”

[Pause]

[Ramus sighs dramatically]

“Babe, even if you never slept with him, you’re supposed to say yes.”

[Pause]

“Mmh, much better. Happy Ramus.”

[Pause?]

“Hm? No, no, I’ve just been chilling at home with the cat. She’s finally stopped trying to murder my ankles. I think we’ve really established a rapport, eh? OW! Rrgh… pushed my luck and went for the tummy rub. Rookie mistake.”

[Pause]

“Nah, you don’t need to pick up food, Bright Eyes. I’ll order in and we can just relax and… plan our future together, OK? If you want to meet in Europe or something to celebrate, let me know, and I’ll meet you there with the biggest bouquet of roses you’ve ever seen. And we’ll get you a ring almost as beautiful as you… OK?”

“Hmhm, I love you too, sweetheart. I’ll see you soon.”

[SFX: Flaring flames]

“Wh-?! Hang on, babe, someone’s in the house. Lucifer, why are you here?! Wait. Wait, no! I was good! WAIT, PLEASE-!”

[The connection severs]
