Context: There's a strange building that runs a strange program - said program is, largely, an effort to rehome and rehabilitate yanderes. Any who undertake the challenge are given monetary rewards, and that certainly makes it appealing. But you signed up for a different reason and, after rigorous training, the day came that you adopted your own yandere. The most extreme case at the center was your choice ala a seemingly nervous, wounded man named Desmond or "Dez". You've brought him home and rehabilitated him as best you can. You’ve survived all adversity together, even when it was almost murder on you both.

[O] = An unfortunate policeman

[Scene opens in the hospital]

[SFX: Wonderful hospital ambiance]

[You stand outside of your soon-to-be FIL’s hospital room with Dez while he talks to the police officer]

[D] “A-And that’s basically the story…”

[The officer gives him a look]

[O] “Sir, you do realize you’re not making much sense, right?”

[D] “Aw beans. Sweetie, c-could you show him, please?”

[You fish through your pockets and show the officer your badge. He grows increasingly pale the longer he stares at it]

[O] “O-Oh. Oh God, I-I am so sorry. I am leaving. Yep, right this second. B-Bye!”

[He turns tail and flees while Dez puts an arm around you]

[D] “I l-love it when you’re all scary… Y-You make being yandere look hot, you know that? Mwah. N-No, I’m gonna keep kissing your crown because I l-love you and you can deal with it.”

[You shoot him your scariest look and he laughs, kissing you more]

[D] “Aww, y-you trying to look a-a-all scary is so cute. S-So, um… Was the b-backbreaking thing on purpose?”

[Pause]

[D] “Y-You’re not sure? Hehe… Fair. Um, I-I don’t know if you s-should keep flipping m-my Dad’s unconscious, m-mid-surgery Dad’s body. T-The doctors d-don’t look happy…”

[You flip him off harder. You go even further beyond and put every ounce of hate in you into either middle finger until Dez gently takes your hands and rests your palms on his chest]

[D] “Listen…Here, give m-me your hands, OK? Mmhm, p-palms on my chest. I-I need to…S-Sweetie, I… I really am s-sorry that I h-hurt you… I-I don’t think… I don’t think I-I’m good enough. I-I already didn’t, b-but… Oh d-damnit, here come the w-w-waterworks…”

[You sit him down with you and gently play with his hair while he cries]

[D] “Y-You keep saying it’s O-OK, but… b-but I stabbed you, I-I ruined… a-a-all of our relationship…Y-You should leave m-me, y-you know? I’m… I-I’m not good for you… I-I’m not good…”

[Pause?]

[D] “B-Baby, no… D-Don’t cuddle u-up to me… I-I know we’re both yanderes, b-but I never, EVER, w-want to risk hurting you again. I can’t… I-I can’t describe w-what holding y-you while you bled out… I-I felt like I’d… e-ended my entire world, a-and you kept squeezing my hand a-and you were trying to tell me t-that it was OK b-but…”

[Pause]

[D] “...d-does it really matter if I was m-myself or not? I-I… I can f-feel the stitches on your back here. I-I hurt you, I-l-l-look like the man that took everything f-from you! H-How can you s-still say you l-love me?!”

[Pause]

[He sniffles while you wipe his tears, holding on to your wrists gently as he does]

[D] “T-Thank you. You’re… s-so good at comforting me, a-and you never look annoyed. Y-You never post anything mean about me, y-you never crop me out of the pictures we have on our social media accounts. B-By the way, y-you best tell saladtosser420 t-to stop liking all of your pics, I-I know where he lives.”

[Pause]

[D] “W-What?! N-No, I didn’t… R-Really? H-He thinks… I’m h-hot?”

[Pause]

[Dez stares into space for a few seconds]

[D] “H-Huh. W-Wait, I have… fans?”

[You show him your phone and watch his expression bounce between being intrigued and mortified]

[D] “Ahh. Ahhhh! No, t-tell them to stop calling me Daddy Dez, I hate it! Noooo, my fragile masculinity!”

[You pat his back as he scrolls through some very thirsty comments, shaking his head]

[SFX: A phone buzzing]

[D] “O-Oh! Here, Sweetie, i-it’s ringing.”

[You answer the call while Dez does his best to stay occupied]

[Long Pause]

[SFX: The call ending]

[D] “A-All done, Sweetie? W-Who was it?”

[Another long pause]

[D] “T-The government… O-Oh shit, a-am I…? A-Am I going to jail b-because I’ve forgotten how to make a s-shiv and that’s like s-step one to surviving prison. A-And shoving a guy’s f-face in the deep f-fryer. Maybe.”

[Pause]

[D] “R-Right, right, sorry. S-So, what did they want?”

[Long Pause]

[You look to him and he looks to you, unreadable]

[D] “...I… I own the Weiss Foundation, now? I-I don’t understand, w-why would Dad leave it to me… W-Wow. Gosh, it’s… I think I need to put my head down.”

[You guide his head to your chest and keep reading the paperwork while he stammers and flails]

[D] “S-Sweetie, you can’t just go h-hugging my face t-to your chest! Y-You know that a-always go one o-of two ways a-and both involve t-the bed.”

[Pause]

[He whines a little but doesn’t move]

[D] “...W-What should we do with it? T-The foundation, I mean.”

[Pause]

[D] “O-Of course I’m asking you. I-If you’re gonna s-stick with me, e-even after all of this, t-then I w-want you at my side w-when I go in there, g-grab those scientists by the neck, a-and tell them they should r-retire because y-you and I are going t-to help the other yanderes. W-We’re gonna make the a-adoption center g-good, godamnit!”

[Pause]

[D] “H-Huh? I just answered my own…q-question…”

[Pause]

[A slow, tentative smile creeps across his lips as he puts an arm around you]

[D] “W-We can help them. A-And I know I can do anything with your love a-and acceptance. C-C’mere, I’m gonna h-hold you for so long. A-And when we g-get home, I’m gonna throw you on t-the bed and-”.

[He stumbles his words, bright red]

[D] “A-And rub your shoulders. Y-Yeah, that’s… T-That’s what I meant.”

[He lowers his voice to a whisper with a nervous giggle]

[D] “I-It’s not what I meant… b-but I would be happy to rub your shoulders, Sweetie. E-Especially while w-we do wedding planning. It… makes me s-so happy to see you get excited f-for our wedding…”

[Pause]

[D] “Y-Yes, I still think I c-can train Mrs. Whiskers t-to carry the rings in time! Y-You watch, she’ll come through.”

[Pause]

[D] “I-I love you too, Sweetie. My Sweetie.”

[You flip his Dad off one more time before the two of you head out things, at last, peaceful]
