For eons, your people have warred with the Sun Kingdom for one reason or another but, at last, an arranged marriage has been proposed to bring peace to both people. [Scene opens in the Palace of the Moon]

[SFX: Quiet, temple-like calm and flowing water]

[You are sitting in the gardens, gazing out into the expanse of space where the Sun Kingdom twinkles in the distance, as a grand gala takes place behind you]

[G] “Princess? I’m sorry to intrude but your fiancees have arrived.”

[...Pause?]

[G] “Yes the Sun God apparently sent two of his sons and a note of: “Your father said to select the best of my sons to wed his daughter. Between all of them, Kyros and Cyrus are of equal merit. Let the girl decide for herself”. A-Ahem. They really are causing quite a scene…”

[You turn and look back toward the gala and the two stick out pretty powerfully. In the calm of the Moon Kingdom of pale blues and yellows, they glow like collapsing stars]

[G] “It’s, um… You know how most Kyrenians are women? They, ah… I mean… Please just get in there, your highness, before we all swoon to death!”

[Pause]

[The guard helps you stand and you float into the ballroom toward the brothers as they stand stoically together]

[Pause?]

[C] “Ah, princess. A pleasure to make your acquaintance. I am Cyrus, the Younger. May I kiss your hand?”

[K] “Easy, Cyrus… Do not let yourself lose focus on the task at hand, no matter how many beautiful women flirt with you. I am Kyros, the Elder. It is a pleasure, princess.”

[They both offer a bow and you return it]

[Pause]

[C] “Yes, Kyros and I were both a bit flummoxed when father sent us both. He impressed on us that this alliance is of the utmost importance, and we intend to be on our best behavior while you decide between us.”

[K] “There is no pressure.”

[C] “Literally just mentioned how important all of this is, Kyros…”

[K] “I am trying to soothe her nerves, brother, light above. You can be dense sometimes.”

[C] “I’m going to be especially dense when I’m dropping my elbow on you from the banister there.”

[Pause]

[Both brothers calm and bow again]

[K&C, in unison] “Yes, princess. Apologies, princess.”

[Pause?]

[C] “We would be honored to dance with you.”

[You hold your hand out to him and he takes it… but Kyros takes the other and you are escorted to the dance floor]

[K] “I hope how the Sun People dance isn’t… offensive to the Kyrenians, princess. We’ll guide you, don’t worry.”

[C] “Ignore us if we get a bit… spicy. We’re all hotblooded, hmhm.”

[The brothers lead you into a rather provocative dance, moving effortlessly with you in between them]

[C] “Not bad, big brother! But if you keep trying to grab her hip, I will have to fight you for her honor.”

[K, with a laugh] “She’s clasping at my hip, brother. I think this might be a little overwhelming for her. Look at how flushed she is.”

[Pause]

[C] “...Right, we produce a lot of heat. Ky, please grab the princess a drink, hm?”

[With a nod, Kyros heads toward the refreshments while Cyrus genly fans you]

[C] “It takes some getting used to. Being with someone of the Sun Kingdom tends to be quite the experience for someone who wasn’t born there. Something is always crackling, full of energy that just needs to be directed somewhere… Usually we resolve it in the bedroom, to be honest.”

[...]

[He smiles playfully]

[C] “Are you thinking about what that feels like? Or are you fascinated because most of us are men?”

[...?]

[He laughs, louder than the music]

[C] “Well… I am sure one of us could bring a calendar back for you next we visit. Unless there’s a rule about having a calendar featuring oiled up Sun boys trying to pose provocatively but just looking a bit silly?”

[...]

[Kyros returns with your drink and you quickly down it]

[K] “Princess, are you alright? You seem rather flustered.”

[Cyrus says something to him in their language]

[C]: “Ti’virin nos ve” / She’s adorable

[K]: “Nei lin mas’a” / She is. And those lips look so kissable

[C]: “O’tas va’ nay.” / She would bare truly beautiful children, I am certain

[You give them a moment before you reveal a little secret of yours: “Sol’vis na’ onjir” / You boys know I can speak Solinian right?]

[They both freeze in place while you fold your arms and raise an eyebrow]

[K] “I, uh… Alright, you speak Solinian fluently, understood. My apologies for our rude behavior.”

[C] “Yes, apologies…. Hehe. Father did mention that a Moon Maiden could temper a Solinian male with only a few words. A respectable power, and… somewhat titillating to experience. I do hope you’ll scold us more as we battle for your hand, my love.”

[...?]

[K, with a sigh] “...Cyrus, must you have outed our intentions so quickly? We were going to make a game of this, I thought…?”

[C, also sighing] “Apologies. Ah, Princess, no need to start chanting a spell at us. We’re not here to assassinate anyone or cause any harm. We’re here to decide which of us is the one you will take as your husband. Typically, father would tell us a bit about you and we would set off, but Kyros and I, well… We are the best for a reason.”

[K] “We always go the extra step to ensure the job at hand is done properly. We did our research on you. On everything you like, dislike, your little quirks… We hadn’t really planned on falling madly in love with you.”

[C] “Quite the predicament, indeed. When a Sun Prince loves, he loves intensely, my dear. Haha. We’ve barely been able to stop from killing each other just to arrive here. Really, I doubt we’ll last the night without resorting to battle. We will, of course, try to have it in a respectful place. I do hope you’ll cheer me on, dearest…”

[K] “I’d like to think she’ll be cheering me on, little brother. Apologies in advance, I will more than likely try to place my blade under your ribs.”

[C] “Hmhm, it’s fine. I’ll be happy to cut open the back of your calves so you can stagger about and slowly, painfully, bleed to death.”

[They smile murderously at each other, the heat pouring off of them immense]

[Pause!]

[They both look at you and cock their heads]

[K] “You would suggest something else, my princess?”

[C] “If you have a suggestion on how we can keep all of this energy in check, we’ll happily hear it.”

[Pause]

[They exchange glances, eyebrows raised]

[K] “Hmm… the bedroom.”

[C] “Interesting. But princess, handling a Sun Prince is no easy feat. We’re both already towering over you and-”.

[Pause!]

[They straighten and march on your orders]

[C] “Yes ma’am! ...I don’t know how I feel about a tiny maiden yelling at me to get my ass in bed.”

[K] “Yes ma’am! ...I kind of like it.”

[C] “Hehe, same.”

[They exchange grins that they think you can’t see]

[K, with a laugh] “We’re gonna fucking die!”

[C, also laughing] “I know!”

[You have no idea how you’re meant to handle these idiots, husbands or not. But, you reckon there’s nothing wrong with giving it the old college try]
